Ramstetter Named New CBTRA President

Crested Butte native and now Gunnison local, Buddy Ramstetter is taking the helm of the Crested Butte Trail Riders Association! Having grown up living in and riding around Crested Butte and the Gunnison Basin, Buddy is an excellent fit for leading the CBTRA and its members through the interesting times to come.

Buddy's extensive knowledge of dirt biking, motorcycling and snowmobiling in the Gunnison and Crested Butte areas is backed by his experiences managing the parts department at Sun Sports, in Gunnison. Buddy has and served as a clearing-house of knowledge and information for riders in the area, whether visiting or local--we're very pleased to see him take this role, leading the way, for dirt biking enthusiasts in the Crested Butte and Gunnison area.

As CBTRA president, Buddy wants to make sure riders know that the CBTRA about much more than just Crested Butte riders and riding. The CBTRA is about riding in all parts of the Gunnison Basin, the Roaring Fork Valley and the Lake City area. Buddy looks forward to continuing to promote the CBTRA's intelligent trail use and ethics for all trail users, in addition to maintaining relationships with the Forest Service and other user groups supporting multi-use trails.

Buddy replaces the CBTRA's first president, Don Turk, who after a long stint with his name at the top of the masthead will shift to more of a behind-the-scenes roll for the CBTRA. Thanks to Don for his time and best wishes to him in the future.
