CBTRA 2017 Membership + Trail Work Dates

i June 06, 2017

Time: For Sunday June 25th we'll be meeting at 9:00AM at the Basalt Mountain parking area. For those unfamiliar with the location see: https://goo.gl/maps/X0yJ5mPv1Z262

Fellow single-track trail riders as of today only two riders have re upped their CBTRA membership for 2017. I am sure for most of you this is just slipped your mind. So just a couple of reminders the motorized single track trail system is dependent on the local motorized riding group to keep the trails open. The USFS expects local volunteer groups such as CBTRA to maintain the trails and provide a rider Ambassador program.

Do not forget to get your OHV stickers which can be purchased online through the Colorado Parks website. Our Trail Days for 2017 are June 25h (Sunday) Basalt Mountain, July 16 th (Sunday) Red Table Trail Head to work on Lone Pine Trail, August 27 (Sunday) Triangle Peak Details To Be announced on the CBTRA website, September 17 th (Sunday) Detail to be announced on the CBTRA website.

CBTRA is now a 501C3 organization so your membership is tax deductible.

Our first trail day is scheduled as a group ride with the chance to meet and network with fellow CBTRA members. We also hope to enlist help with the ride ambassador program and club board members will be on hand to talk about the program. See The CBTRA website for more details about this event

I promised myself I would make this brief : Our Club is looking for members that would consider helping out serving on the CBTRA board. As your acting president its been a pleasure to serve the single track riding community but I am stepping down from this position. Its time for some of the younger members of the trail riding community to step up to help keep our trail system open and hopefully expand riding opportunities into the future.

Sincerely

Greg Fitzpatrick

Soon to be former President CBTRA
